PHOENIX, April 26, 2006 – The TCAS 2000 traffic alert and collision avoidance system from ACSS, an L-3 Communications & Thales Company, has been selected as the standard TCAS package on three of Cessna Aircraft’s high-end business jet models – the Citation X, XLS and Sovereign.

The TCAS 2000 became the industry’s first second-generation TCAS II product when it was launched in 1997. It has since earned acclaim throughout aviation for its long range and its ability to be upgraded for future enhancements, such as Automatic Dependence Surveillance-Broadcast (ADS-B). It has also been coupled with ACSS’s terrain awareness warning system (TAWS) to create the T²CAS, with orders of more than 1,500 units. The TCAS 2000 is now onboard more than 9,000 aircraft flying throughout the world.
